“Real ecos”
On almost 9 pages of the NFM, we become real ecos - that's the headline of the last issue.
What is quickly summarized in a few sentences is the biggest and most enduring project for us at REBER. Because sustainability is not just a trend, it is our way into the future. Every day, we work on specific projects to make our logistics greener and more sustainable.
In a recent interview with NFM, our Managing Director Mirko Kauffeldt talks about the challenges of the energy transition and how we are actively responding to them. Whether it's alternative drives, driver shortages or toll increases - the transport industry is under pressure. But for us, this is no reason to bury our heads in the sand. Our clear goal is to be climate-neutral by 2035. We have already initiated numerous measures to achieve this.
Our green projects include the planting of 60,000 trees, of which over 30,000 are already growing, the use of LNG trucks and the exclusive use of green electricity at all our locations. For us, sustainable logistics means actively protecting the environment every day and becoming more efficient at the same time.
Future technologies also play a central role in this: with modern transport management systems, telematics and e-mobility - provided the right infrastructure is in place - as well as hydrogen, we will be focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions in the coming years.
In this sense, the title “We are real ecos” gets right to the heart of what is relevant today and will be realistic in the future. You can find the full interview with Mirko Kauffeldt in the August issue of NFM. You can follow many more projects and progress via our engagement page and social media channels.
