4,500 trees for the Ahrtal
True to our vision of combining strengths to achieve great things, we not only want to do something good for nature, but also work together to restore the quality of life of the residents of the Ahrtal. After all, the flood disaster in 2021 left behind one thing above all: destruction, torn away bridges and forests as well as ruined buildings that are still being worked on today.
For this reason, REBER once again set a visible example of sustainability on March 27 and supported the Robin Gut Initiative's planting campaign with a donation of 4,500 trees and our trainees, who helped plant the seedlings. The initiative's original goal was to plant 10,000 trees. However, thanks to the generous support of numerous other helpers, a total of 14,142 trees were donated and planted.
The Robin Gut Initiative acts in accordance with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations. Its goal of enriching the Ahr valley with new green spaces and forests after the devastating flood disaster was the focus of the last planting campaign. REBER wholeheartedly supports this ambitious project. We are convinced that every newly planted tree brings an immediate benefit and makes a valuable contribution to environmental protection, far more than environmental certificates can.
