Strengthening through synergies

Imagine a world in which strengths combine to achieve great things. With retroactive effect from 1 January 2024, this has once again become a reality: The transport and logistics company ExpoTrans from Elsdorf in North Rhine-Westphalia will become part of the REBER Group and thus our 10th location.

Founded in 2010, the specialist freight forwarder, which has established itself in the automotive, building materials and speciality logistics sectors, serves customers in Germany, the UK, Eastern Europe and the Benelux countries. With a fleet of 77 vehicles and 90 employees, the company achieved an annual turnover of around 15 million euros in 2023. With the takeover, the REBER fleet will grow to over 300 vehicles, the number of employees will increase to 800 and Group turnover will reach 135 million euros. This integration fits in perfectly with our strategy, which has seen us grow by more than 50 per cent in recent years. In ExpoTrans, we have gained a partner who shares our vision of sustainable logistics.
 

Thomas Bormann, Managing Partner of ExpoTrans, will remain on board as Sales Director Germany and will continue to drive the joint growth. ‘It was important to me that the future of ExpoTrans is in good hands,’ explains Bormann. ‘In REBER, we have found the right partner with whom we can open up new opportunities. This partnership offers long-term prospects not only for our employees, but also for our customers.’
 

For us at REBER, it is not just about quantitative growth, but about integrating companies with similar values and goals into our group. More importantly, this acquisition reinforces our claim to be ‘at home’ in our positioning in furniture logistics and at the same time optimally equipped for other sectors. Two years ago, we successfully embarked on this path with the integration of the Franconian forwarding company Gressel, which specialises in building materials, food and beverage logistics. Today, in combination with ExpoTrans, our customers benefit from even more expertise and an expanded range of services in various areas.
