REBER Logistik takes over new furniture logistics for Rolf Benz
With the vision of combining our strengths to achieve great things together, we are taking the next step: as specialists with an eye for the big picture and experts in furniture logistics, we are delighted to have been able to take over new furniture logistics for Rolf Benz since July 1, 2024. These tasks were previously managed by the SLC Service Logistik Company from Stadtlohn, which had to discontinue its business operations on June 30 as a result of the Hülsta insolvency.
Since its foundation in 1964, Rolf Benz has been designing and producing innovative upholstery culture Made in Germany. With its high standards of quality and sustainability, we at REBER see many parallels with our own values and expertise.
We are therefore all the happier to be taking over all logistical tasks at the Swabian upholstered furniture manufacturer's production site in Mötzingen. This includes managing the high-bay warehouse, packing the goods, storage and retrieval, picking and loading. We are now also responsible for managing the entire supply chain - including route planning and quality management.
Our values of ability, willingness, curiosity and community are incorporated into the work at our new site. We are also particularly pleased that all 40 SLC employees at the Mötzingen site will be integrated into the newly founded REBER Mötzingen Logistik GmbH & Co. KG and become part of our REBER family. This expands our Germany-wide logistics network to a total of 9 locations with around 700 employees. Part of the SLC fleet will also be on the road for Rolf Benz from the beginning of July.
"We are very much looking forward to the Rolf Benz world," says Managing Director Mirko Kauffeldt. "Our aim is to ensure a smooth transition and to offer all employees a long-term perspective in our group of companies."
We will be supported by Christoph Schlattmann, the former Managing Director of SLC, who will accompany the transition phase and take on further projects within the Group. Eugen Bakayev, the former site manager of SLC, will become site manager and authorized signatory of the new company.
We are looking forward to working with our new colleagues. We look forward to being able to offer our customers even more comprehensive logistics services and, of course, to achieving great things together.
